Moving to XML

What about Schemas?

• Schemas are a new proposal for an alternate way to specify XML languages
• Part of the benefit is that the schema language is itself an XML laguage, so schemas can be parsed with standard XML tools
  • DTDs can't
• New technology with no other obvious benefits over DTDs
• Recommendation: Let someone else take the grief of getting the bugs out of it
