Moving to XML

Visual Appearance and Stylesheets [ii]
-
A special stylesheet language, XSL, was conceived to
support the new features of XML.
-
Two parts:
-
XSL-T, the Transformation language
- I've described this above
-
XSL-FO, formatting objects
-
A comprehensive language for descibing the fine detail of
document presentation.
-
Produces prolix, semantically impoverished markup.
-
Not supported by any client yet.
- Really a stylesheet language...
-
Of doubtful value.
